Obviously it’s not possible in the real world. Last night I was so tired that as soon as I fell on my bed, I started dreaming immediately. Meaningless office work, meetings, tiring work out in Gym, studies, friends and reading so many scams in newspaper daily – sucks out the entire calories and proteins and energy out of my body. Reading about scams daily has become a hell lot of task. I wish I was Ravaan with 10 heads to remember about all the scams and discuss them at the same time! It is been raining scams these days. It is winter, best season to be with your loved one, get warm inside and have warm drinks to sip outside. Somehow, raining scams have just ruined the daily pleasure of winter mornings.

Coming back to the point, I fell on my bed and I started to dream. In my dream, my differently wired (nerd) brain personified Scam as my friend and somehow we both are sitting on dock and talking. I remember certain parts of my dream and I am going to share it with you. Remember, my friend takes the form of the accused in the dream whenever we are talking about a certain scam.

(…on the docks in Bombay…in the dream)

Scam – I think this time I got lucky after the sale of 3G spectrum. Till now no scam came out on 3G sale.

Me – well, Raja, they all are busy with the 2G scam. They will come to 3G when 4G will be up for bidding.

Scam – Yeah, I guess so. CBI raided my house after I hid everything. I got like two weeks secret notice to move out everything. How nicely we make the public stupid!

Me – Even if you don’t, public doesn’t care much. Corruption should be there, as long as it benefits others also. But you and Kalmadi are more Naga (shameless) than Naga Babas of Kumbh mela!

Scam – (now Scam became Kalmadi) But CWG was a success. I made it happen. So what if the budget crossed Rs. 80000 crore Govt. figure. Even I am not sure how much more the actual scam was, but who cares! It was a huge success.

Me – it was a success because of the athletes. It could have been the same success if it was done within 20% of the cost! But what did you do with so much money? I am sure it’s not lying idle in your Swiss Bank account.

Scam – Of course not! Have you not seen Sensex rising and being steady at 19k these days? All my money, and every other politician’s money is coming through the havala route and is invested in Sensex as FII. Our country runs on two economies. Black economy is bigger than White economy now.

Me – Hmm.. that makes sense. So that’s the reason of free trade between India and Mauritius. These days even Land is Hot Property. Didn’t you invest in Land?

Scam – I have in… (I don’t remember what he said. It’s a dream so some parts are forgotten)

Me – So what if like Adarsh scam, your investments in flats and lands come out? But you have already resigned so it actually doesn’t matter. Maybe Chavan should have been more cautious.

Scam – (now Ashok Chavan) It’s politics my son. People think that removing me from the post CM is justice done. But actually it was done to stop the wagging tongues! Tell me has the real purpose of Adarsh Flat been served? My relatives still own the flats!

Me – Yes that’s true! I so wish I was in Politics. Atleast I would some good to the country along with being corrupt!! You are a bunch of useless corrupt officials. Nothing works without corruption. Corruption without the public benefit is stupidity. God knows how you assholes reach such high posts! But isn’t that the way of the world! It’s not the Ramayana or Mahabharata era where people will actually care for Dharma and Adharma.

Scam – Be grateful you are not into politics. Can you become shameless? Do you have that guts?

Me – I guess if one has to move higher very fast, either one has to be lucky or one has to be shameless!

Scam – (now Yana Gupta, in hot black dress) You are right! See sweetheart (I m seeing! :p) I didn’t have any media attention, so I had to be shameless!

Me – Okay. But at least now you could have worn it! And how can you miss it? Forget about underwear, you should be wearing pants because your dress is too short!

Scam – Did anybody else question that? Everybody is talking about my boldness. You know, in this world, if you make people think what you want them to think, you will have it your way!

Me – that’s damn true! If I could do that, I would have a girlfriend by now. The problem is the ones I liked, they never liked me back, and those who liked me I couldn’t like them the same way! And when feelings matched, I was too rigid to get into one! I wanted to enjoy the freedom I had!

Scam – Love is so pure that it corrupts the mind, sweetheart! But you should love once and love with your 100%. It is the best feeling in the world.

Me – I know it is the best feeling. I will when I am sure I am ready for it. Is it always the best girl one waits for? How can there be so many best girls if every guy is waiting for one?

Scam – May be you are thinking too much! Every girl is best in her own way, like every guy is! Use your heart than your brains in the matters of love. Heart loves, brain lusts!

Me – So all these scams happen because of Lust! Now I got my answers. Whether its lust for women or for money or for fame or for power, lust is the cause for all Scams!! I am so intelligent!

Scam – Isn’t it weird that a little rearrangement with the letters, lust becomes slut! So every scammer is a slut.

Me – (furious) I hate that word. How many times I have told you never use it. Anyway, why bollywood is not coming up with good movies? Is there a scam cooking up in there as well?

My eyes opened. I was delirious. What happened? Oh, the cell was vibrating. Four messages received from a “friend”. I read the messages, thought about my third last question to Yana Gupta, shook my head, “love is so pure that it corrupts the brain”. No I can’t now, right now future is more important, career first, then everything else, but what if I lose the best one, and career can be achieved along with a soul mate, no but have i not sacrificed chances in past??? , I have sacrificed chances because I wanted to enjoy college life, being friends allows freedom, but seeing that ‘friend’ with other guys can be such a bad feeling, no, some Jhol (scam) has to be done, I have made people think as I have wanted them to, I have had it my way, I will have it my way, I will be patient but not dormant, but what if patience rusts the ‘feelings’, damn, its getting complicated, leave it bro, lets sleep! At least love should be scam free, rest at every place I have done jhols (scams). Lol!

‘Set the person free, if he/she comes to you they were always yours, if he/doesn’t come to you, they were never yours!’ Who said this? I don’t know, but it’s too complicated to follow.

Amazing how brain solves your mysteries in dreams. Whether is mathematics or biology, every dream solves certain complications, that’s how the brain works. Hope you like my conversation with Scam. Waiting for your comments!

Love!!!

Ciao.

What’s Eating Up Our Country?

I always feel that the Asian nations especially India, Pakistan, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka are the most hypocritical countries in the world. India being the highest population among all tops the list. In India sex education will not be allowed in the name of ‘Saving Culture’ but still we are the second highest population in the world, with highest HIV+ patients and one Indian city (Ahmedabad) topping the list of maximum sale of “rubbers”. We might never overtake China in GDP growth rate, but we will defeat them in Population Race! And trust me, when this happens most Indians will feel proud. Hypocrisy is very deeply rooted in most Indians. It has developed to the extent that it is has become difficult to remove from our behavior. This hypocrisy might seem a small personality trait initially but that has been the very reason for unrest in our country.

One of the biggest example is the Ayodhya Debate. VHP claims to believe ‘deeply’ in Indian Gods and will do anything to protect the temples and the Indian culture. They claimed that before Babri Masjid was built in 16th century, the Temple of Lord Ram was demolished which was erected in that very place. They condemned this act committed in 16th Century, they swore revenge, and they demolished Babri Masjid. This was the most horrible reason to destroy any Faith’s place of worship. And they claim they believe in Lord Ram and they follow his teachings? Doesn’t make sense to me! I have read Ramayana and this Epic Story (It is a story with Mythical characters) never taught me such a blasphemous thing! Moreover, it was Ram who gave away his throne to Bharat in order to save his Father’s word and left for Vanvaas for next 14 years. If Lord Ram can give such a big sacrifice (as they believe he was on earth in reality!!), why couldn’t the VHP goons make a temple immediately next to the masjid? Hypocrisy didn’t allow them to do that and that incident opened the Pandora’s box. That was followed by riots all over India, Bombay Blasts (Black Friday), Gujarat riots and all the blasts that have happened and will happen in future. This is happening because one of the main reasons is Hypocrisy. Now I just hope that the judgement on 24th September 2010 should be in favour of both the religions. A temple and a Masjid should be built next to each other on Ram Janmabhoomi (Lord Ram’s Birth Place).

Our government makes us believe that it is development oriented. It is in fact hell bent on Inclusive Development. Inclusive Development means that it will also include the one below poverty line. In reality, this very government only excluded the poors from mainstream development. The most important example of this is the Naxalite Movement. Most of us just think that Naxalites are like terrorists. But there is a long & dark history behind the Naxalite movement. It was this very hypocrite government that forcibly took away lands of poors in Naxalbari, killed, raped, tortured poors because they were not ready to give away their lands for Govt’s developmental projects. Naxalite movement was then started with this intention to redistribute the land to the landless but now it is controlled by other political parties clandestinely to derive unethical benefits.

Hypocrisy is considered to be too small to be the main source of above troubles. But in reality, it is the main source. If we think logically, most of time we will find our beliefs and actions not to be in sync. We might hate bribery but to get out of traffic police official’s clutches quickly, we do slip a 100 buck. We might get irritated every time the Electricity goes off but we will still use the A/C even if the weather is pleasant and there is actually no need for A/C. We might find other guys assholes when they look at our girlfriend or sister but when we look at other girls, we are just checking them out! We might hate India being shamed by Kalmadi & other politicians in messing up CWG preparations but hardly anybody wants to think long term and at least give a try to get into Politics. Hypocrisy starts at this trivial level, if you don’t stop it then it grows into your personal life, then professional life, then into your children’s lives and keeps spreading. Hypocrisy gives rise to ego because one starts defending one’s beliefs and actions as soon as they are pointed out on the wrong note. Ego, if not curbed at the right time, burns everything. This ego burnt the Troy; this ego will shame India and this ego will curb the development of India.

In future, India will have the chance to become super power. Let’s not wait till the end and start preparing from now. We should stick to our ethics (not to go the US way, be unethical and suffer from self tailored recession) and never let hypocrisy eat up our Country. I guess most of you are preparing for MBA entrances and all the best to you. Study well and get into Brand B-Schools and earn 7-8 figures salary. Be Environmental Friendly and buy nice Racecars. Wait, did I just become a Hypocrite?

Ciao :-p

Cops Party with College Students - A Lesson for All

This is one is dedicated to SIMS (Symbiosis Institute of Management Studies) students who had a memorable Freshers Party on Friendships Day which will always remain Fresh in their minds because they got royally Fucked! Too many "F" words, eh... This blog is going to be focussed more on Human Behaviour or should i say Inhumane Indian Behaviour??? There are three 'parties' we need to discuss on in this topic - Students (who made it possible), College (who made it interesting by becoming traitors) and Police (who enjoyed all the moments of the raid).

FACTS FIRST

As a ritual SIMS students organised the Freshers Party for Fresh students who joined this academic year. The party was organised in a private farm house in Theur, 50 Kms from Pune. The party was organised from evening till late night and there was free flowing of alcohol in the party. Around 489 students attend it and as per SIMS management, 350 students belonged to their college and they have no idea where the rest came from. Still, all these students reached the venue by around 10 buses and partied hard with loud music without actually any alcohol and loud music permission. On this side of Pune, the police personnels were watching ‘Once upon a Time in Mumbai’, a newly released movie on contraband substances in E-Square. They were asked to leave the movie in between as they got a tip off about a loud party in Theur's Private Farm house. Pissed off police raided the party and found alcohol along with other 'stuffs' (not confirmed what stuff is that), detained all the students, politically influenced students were left unharmed and others were made to go through hell until they were released the next day. SIMS management gave statements like alcohol was not permitted by college; students took only 'Late out' permission and not 'Night Out' permission; students break the rule to return back at 12.30 am.

These are the facts of the case, it is time to dig in deep into it.

REALITY BITES

In this case, all the three parties are at fault. You can take the police not to be completely at fault because if you take the case in terms of reality, police didn't do anything wrong except for abusing students a bit too much. The abusing part too is a part of Police's job but in this case they crossed the limits and hence are at fault but not as much as the other two parties.

The main culprits are the students themselves. All of them from within know that they have done something wrong; whether it's drinking alcohol or just being rude with the police or doing nothing but attending a party where alcohol is supposed to be permitted!! Hello.. wake up Sid... there cannot be a private farm house party where police will allow alcohol for 500 students! For such a party to take place, there should have been a lounge or a hotel which already has a permit. Alcohol is allowed in private houses and even that has a limit of 15-20 people only. If there are more people than that, one needs a formal permission.

Secondly, one cannot party on loud music after 10.30 pm. Even if an individual is partying with loud music after 10.30pm, that person can be stopped by police as 10.30pm is the curfew time. Also breaking the 12.30am hostel in-time rule makes no sense at all.

Finally, the organising committee of this party needs to be rusticated from college. One thing is for sure that such people give out a message that they care nothing for the rules and regulations of the society in general. They also don’t care about the general public which are being affected by their reckless behaviour. Their behaviour is spreading wrong messages to students who will join such colleges in future. They also supposedly lied to students about the Liquor Permission they obtained. They didn't take pains to get even loud speaker permission. This means that they were sure that their requests will be rejected and hence they misled all other students. If such students after doing MBA join companies, we know whats in store for those companies! It is also heard that when police came, they spoke rudely to them. One thing has been observed in today's times is that people talk too rudely with Police personnels as if they themselves are bloody big shots. This was the reason why police tortured them so as to teach spoilt brats some lesson for the rest of their life!

Now my doubts are on the Symbi management too. Somehow i feel that it is not at all a wise decision in the first place to allow students to go till Theur which is 50 kms from the college. My obvious doubts are - is college so naive that they trust their Hormonally charged up students so much that they allow them to go till such a far place and that too in a farm house? Don't they know what ALL can happen in a farm house? This party could have easily turned out to be a rave party and good students would have got fixed for no reason! I believe there are many ‘cool’ places to organize such parties within the city. Also, the management has very tactfully removed its name from the scandal. I believe the college is to be asked few questions by the media as to how they can have ‘no say’ in parties organised by the students; so many buses provided to them (students claim that it was arranged by the college) and having no vigilance at the party proceedings. Such a behaviour of college gives out a message that the institution "teaching management" itself doesn't know what is 'Management' is all about!

Finally, the police have been just too harsh on students. Agreed some needed beatings and raw deal, but not everyone should be treated like that! They stretched it a bit too much. They abused girls and boys and tortured them the entire night. The same thing can be done peacefully with the cooperative students. Those showing attitude should be ‘shoved with stick in their arse'. Police has always been like that. It is rude to nice people also many times. This attitude needs to be changed as their behaviour gives out a rather scary message of "Who will gaurd the gaurds??"

This my personal take on the entire issue. The 'young alcoholic bloods' should keep their nerves calm, their voices down when wrong and their pants up and tight to do the right things and not do the wrong things. They should understand that even a right thing done at a wrong time is a wrong thing.

The Management of any institute should practise what they preach. Do not abandon your students, show a bit of cooperation and solve such situations calmly.

The police should work more rather than piss people off more and speak more rather than abuse more. It is time for them to change their attitude for the educated public who won't take shit from anybody. Although media is hyping their rude behaviour a bit too much (I believe it is necessary to kickass spoilt brats) but police should control their own rough behaviour.

Let me know what you guys think.

I shall be happy to see your comments. The opposition parties seem to be completely out of their minds and dangerously out of control now. There is a need to declare an emergency (one like in Indira Gandhi's time) and put these notorious and tainted politicians behind the bars. I am also upset that some people did support the strike because they thought that it would help their cause! Are they nuts? Such strikes will never decrease the prices... on the contrary it will increase the prices further! Do you know that one day strike has cost our nation an economic loss of Rs.10000 crores!! This is just the initial figure. The damage done to public property (another fucked up point of this strike) will increase this loss by two folds.

We all know that the petrol prices have been increased 9 times since the UPA government has taken over the reins of the Centre in their hands. This is combined with food inflation (it has made the pockets an extinct thing in a Man's trousers so creating a hole in pocket is an outdated thing), transport inflation, real estate inflation, etc. Now, the food inflation has partly risen by the rise in petrol and diesel prices but mostly because of the corruption of the notorious Agriculture Minister Sharad Pawar. This man has screwed up the food distribution, increased hoarding, fucked up the middle men's minds and eaten up the entire Rs.72000 crores of loan waiver scheme money. If the opposition had guts, they would have openly challenged him and proved him corrupt on public debate forums. But then, it would sound like a thief calling another a thief. Now Pawar is busy lobbying for ICC president (now you see where all the money he had eaten has been excreted?) so that he gets more money and power and has blatantly asked the centre to reduce his parliamentary work load!! Isn’t that his Primary job??? If this was not enough for the centre to get insulted, our dearest PM Manmohan Singh sent peace makers to Pawar's place to persuade him to take back his request!!! Is he nuts??? Why can’t he just strip Pawar off the current Role? It is because the NCP has a major share in Congress' majority in UPA! Politics!!

Now coming back to the topic, one has the right to oppose the price rise but one should not stop another's work forcefully. That is not ‘Democracy’ for God’s sake. What happened in this strike (and in all the previous ones as well) is that innocent people were stoned at when going to work (ironically for whom the strike was called for). The public property was blatantly stoned at and in many cases charred to ashes. The important point to note here is no matter how many buses or trains are harmed, ultimately the burden to pay these losses will come on common people's shoulders. The Politicians will still enjoy their Rs.20 Chicken thali, Rs.2 Rice Plate and Rs.10 Fruit juice (these are the actual prices they are charged) and free traveling in any part of the world. It doesn’t matter for them to which side they belong to (ruling or opposition).

The nation wide strike temporarily stalled many people’s lives. Many young students living on their own had to go without food (like they were on hunger strike) because all shops and restaurants remained closed as the owners were afraid of their shops being damaged. My friend, whose birthday was on that unfortunate day, didn’t eat anything until evening, forget cake cutting. My brother’s company bus was made to stop. Didn’t the diesel usage go as a complete waste? Won’t that increase its price? The logic behind these strikes is also fucked up. The party not in power wants to show off power at the cost of others. I am going to make some interesting revelations to make you understand the reasons of opposition behind these strikes.

First and the foremost is to take over the control of Centre in next elections. The current opposition groups on one hand are abetting the Naxalite attacks surreptitiously (remember, Naxalites are an arm of CPI (M)) and also shouting at the Govt. so as to make them look inefficient (which they are anyway). Such tactics by opposition increase the Defense Budget of the Ruling Government. Thus, the defense expenditure is huge. This way the opposition do not let the prices come down on essential commodities. Secondly, with the help of their contacts they ask the middlemen to increase hoardings of various eatables. This reduces the supply and demand-supply economics increases the prices of the commodities. Finally, they shout in public forums and in media cameras about poor people’s bad condition due to price rise and increase the panic among the ‘cattle mentality’ citizens of India (I stand by this as most people panic even when they don’t know the reason). As soon as the panic is observed, opposition calls for a nation/state wide strike without any fucking authority to do so and use force and men (bought on money and liquor) to implement illegal strikes. Such strikes further increase prices and common man is made to suffer. This is because no matter how much the prices increase, it will NEVER affect any politician as everything for them is for free!!

So guys please do not come under the influence of any political parties and try not to panic when the petrol prices rise. Criticize for the right things like the Food inflation which is baseless and Asset bubble which is dangerous. If the petrol prices are not increased then there would be a day when the Petroleum Companies will shut down and so would the country! Do not go on stupid analysis that says ‘actually the petrol costs Rs.26 or less’ because that is the blanket used by the opposition parties to cover their arse. Try to think calmly and logically. Strikes will not solve your problems. If it did, we professionals would always be out of office. J

Catch you soon. Do read my next blog which will be up very soon.

Ciao.

IPL - Indian Phunny League

<o:smarttagtype name="place" namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"></o:smarttagtype><o:smarttagtype name="country-region" namespaceuri="urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags"></o:smarttagtype>

    <m:smallfrac m:val="off"> <m:dispdef> <m:lmargin m:val="0"> <m:rmargin m:val="0"> <m:defjc m:val="centerGroup"> <m:wrapindent m:val="1440"> <m:intlim m:val="subSup"> <m:narylim m:val="undOvr"> </m:narylim></m:intlim> </m:wrapindent> </m:defjc></m:rmargin></m:lmargin></m:dispdef></m:smallfrac>

I can’t make a grim situation grimmer; like I can’t make a dark night in Pune darker (read no electricity due to load shedding). With these thoughts firmly placed in my head, I decided to make this blog a phunny (actually sarcastic) blog. I couldn’t help but imagine the situations when the IT sleuths raided each and every IPL team owner’s house. I couldn’t help but make wild as well as logical guesses as to what all they can find in their houses because the documents related to deals are already missing! So let’s find out what happened when all the 8 teams were conquered by I-T dudes.

Chapter 1 – The Bengali Sweet Raid – KKR (Kolkata Knights Raided)

The self claimed bollywood badshah, Shah Rukh Taj Mohammad Khan, the owner of IPL Team Kolkata Knight Riders’ house got raided first. Apart from finding some unimportant documents related to the deals within the team, the tax officials were surprised to find the room filled with multiplex tickets of the movie My Name is Khan! The tickets didn’t only belong to the multiplexes in Mumbai and Kolkata, but were also found to be of multiplexes in cities all over India and many in abroad also! The I-T officials are now thinking that this is how the earnings of this unwatchable film was raised but they are not sure about this and are scratching their heads hard. They will do proper investigation on this now and took all those tickets in cartons which was video recorded by the media (which all of us saw in news).

Chapter 2 – The Most Exciting Raid – RCB (Royal Cheerleaders ‘Bang’-lore)

After KKR, I-T sleuths thought that they would get much more than just tickets in this raid in Vijay Mallya’s house. It is no surprise that they were right (IRS people are always right, and if you try to prove them wrong you are fined!!). They didn’t find any documents they were officially looking for; but they got all the ‘documents’ (photos and profiles) relating to the hiring of cheerleaders. After all, their team reached semi finals not only by on-field efforts of their players but also because of off-field motivation! So I-T sleuths finished their official investigation in 25 minutes and were busy investigating cheerleaders in depth for the next 9 hours! (The entire pun is intended)

Chapter 3 – Raiders In The Sands – RR (Rajasthan Raided)

I-T sleuths found all the bills in Shilpa Shetty – Raj Kundra’s house. All the bills related to Lip job, Tummy job, Nose job, etc jobs were found. That solved one of their doubts about how a 75 million Team is now a 225 million team. They also found a diary with many phone numbers of girls that they wondered why would Raj Kundra need these numbers! It was later found out that the diary belonged to Shane Warne. Finally I-T sleuths gave up because in this desert there was no crude oil to be found and they were looking forward for the next raid as the owner of the next target is single once again!

Chapter 4 – Preity Ness-essary Raid – KXI P (Kings Pawned 10 times!)

The single bubbly PZ kept the I-T sleuths as busy as Dalai Lama was in Dharamshala’s cricket stadium. The I-T sleuths soon felt the need for some money in their hands and started their search. They found so many hate mails in the house that they couldn’t read all of them. So they took all with them. On further investigation, it was found that the hate mails belonged to Ness, Preity and Yuvi. We can understand about Ness and Preity but Yuvi??? Why? Oh… he was stripped of captaincy, that’s why. They also found two VIP bags full of tissue papers used by Srisanth when he was slapped by Bhajji. But I-T dudes got confused because Srisanth was slapped on face and he didn’t play because of leg injury whereas he danced in all the dance competitions. But as this was not the part of their job and also Srisanth was not a female, they didn’t ‘probe’ further.

Chapter 5 – Devil’s Taxmen – DD (Delhi Deceivers)

This is one of the raids to which I-T sleuths were not at all looking forward to. There are no film stars or high profile cheats involved. Only a little bit of politics between Viru and Delhi Cricket Board. So all they could lay their hands on was a letter telling the DD owner to remove Viru as the captain of the team and some medical reports confirming that Viru was fit and his wrist was super fit because of no great show put up by him in IPL 2010 matches. Hence, they were not surprised that Viru won’t be playing in the T20 WC because of ‘alleged’ wrist injury!

Chapter 6 – Tax on Biryani – DC (Deccan Charged!)

I-T sleuths didn’t take any ‘pangas’ with the owner of DC because he looks like a devil! All they could find was lot of controversial articles on Symonds and banners written ‘monkey’ on it which were hidden deep inside the cupboards. I-T sleuths realized that these were used by owners only when Australia was playing against India in Hyderabad and this was before DC was formed. They have confiscated the banners and will use them at the right time to get the right ‘things’. You got it!! Money.. what else!!

Chapter 7 – You Rascalas!! – CSK (Chennai Super Kadkaas)

Kadkaa means one with no money. So CSK is the one which came out clean because it had no money to pay fines for missing documents. All money was spent on Dhoni’s Max Mobiles bills because everytime he went to red light area (Poor guy had a slip of tongue and said this instead of Red Light Signal) and people spoke to him in tamil, someone stole his Max mobile. So CSK was a flop show for I-T dudes.

Chapter 8 – Chor ke Ghar mein Chori – MI (Mumbai for Indians)

Finally, it is Mukesh Ambani’s house. Mukesh bhai had a hard time explaining how Tina Ambani lost more than 100% of her body weight just a month before IPL 2010 began; how such a huge money was paid for Pollard who is playing his first IPL; why Tina is featuring more with Vijay Mallya in strange poses; why is Bhajji lifting her up all the time; is he practicing to lift the IPL 2010 trophy; has the match been fixed; how many marathis in Mumbai Indians team; why no objection from Thackreys for almost no marathi players; etc. As soon as he was questioned on the documents, the I-T officials got green gravy on their hands and they left with a huge smile.

So we can see that IPL2010 fireworks by players are as exciting as the fireworks started by Lalit Modi and Shashi Tharoor (for the bomb, Sunanda Pushkar) and in this dog fight, the pigs got all the ‘benefit’. Hope to see more comments!!

Ciao.

Malik-aye(sha) Sania

<meta content="text/html; They cannot live a simple plain life and have to screw their own life along with screwing other peoples’ lives in the process. Another thing which makes me think a lot on this issue is how on earth a girl like Sania Mirza even consider marrying a guy who is already in a deep shit like his controversial telephonic ‘Nikaah’ and his one year ban on cricket for various reasons? Also, even his team mates are not supportive and his ex-English cricket club is highly critical of him. No wonder women have strange choices when it comes to settling down in life!

When I heard the news that Sania Mirza is single again in January this year, I was so happy and was already considering that she would soon come down to Pune, to the Wanowrie area and meet the Right Guy! Unfortunately for her, she went to Dubai first, met the wrong guy and has not met Me yet!! Okay, let me hold my topic in abeyance for the moment and try to find out why she is ruining her life. So, Mr. Shoaib Malik is not what he looks like but is exactly like the country which he belongs to, Controversial! I don’t believe his story. And let’s assume if I do believe his story then he is a pervert. Who would marry a girl just by seeing the photo only? Will any guy do that? Then the matrimonial websites will charge people only to have a look at the photo and phone number! Marriages would be such an inexpensive affair! Imagine how many people will be unemployed then! Coming back to the point, according to Shoaib, Ayesha called him up and said she is his fan from India. So he got talking to her (oh, Indian gal & my fan.. Dhan chik Dhan chik). How many phone calls Dhoni or Yuvraj might be getting like that every day (not mentioning the Actors)! Okay, Shoaib must have loved the voice and it might be love at the first call! So he asks for a pic and Ping!! Comes the sexy sexy girl pic on his laptop. Now he is all man (in a pervert sense) and takes the pic to his parents and tells them I want to marry this chick. His parents are like.. Wow!! We never thought such a chick would hit on you because no sensible Pakistani chick never even comes in the 10 meter diameter ring surrounding you. Go ahead son, marry the Indian muslim chick. Spread cross country Love. So he calls her and they marry over the telephone in 2002. I do. I do. They have not mentioned about their honeymoon though. Was that on phone too? Anyway, so Shoaib in this strange marriage feels the need of physical love now. He comes down to India, to his telephonic wife’s city and tries to meet her but she runs away because she is fat or so as he claims! But, now he tries to act nice in his story and says that he wanted to help her and be her husbandly support! That means he does not mind if she is fat. Then why not tell that to the media that no matter she is fat, I love her. But he won’t, you know why? It is because Sania Mirza is not fat. She is a chick now! Men will always be men! So now he tells that the pic shown to him is different from the girl who is claiming to be married to him. People can come with all kinds of excuses, huh! Anyway, I don’t believe that this is the right story. They have to have a face to face marriage if there is Marriage Certificate in place and if there are alleged witnesses to the marriage like Inzamam ul haq and M. Azaruddin. God knows if this be proved or will He leave it to the money to do the job?

Coming to the Ayesha Siddiqui, she is as controversial as Shoaib. Most importantly, she is not coming out clean. How can even a stranger girl get through Shoaib Malik’s phone number and go on to marry him? If she sent him a pic of hers, she should show which pic was sent. If she wanted to marry Shoaib Malik, why not do it the grand way when she was allegedly slim and chick? The questions she is facing are not easy ones to answer. What her parents were thinking when they knew she was doing a telephonic marriage? Don’t they want her to get married in a grand way that too in the year 2002 when Shoaib was not that bad a name in Pakistan Cricket team? So much confusion here, what can I say more!

What is Sania doing in this mess? Why is she supporting Shoaib? Can’t she get nice guys in India or abroad (other than Pakistan)? Why this controversial guy only? As I said, why didn’t she come down to Pune? I am not controversial at all, am i? What also shocks me is why this marriage thing is happening so fast? Do they have to catch Rawalpindi express? Everything seems to be set up so fast. They meet in Dubai once and they fix marriage! She is just 23 and a scorpion too! (I am also a scorpionJ) She can wait, she can get good-better-best guys or to top them all, ME. Why this hurry? Is there a reason that only these two families know? Quite possible. Anyway, it’s her life. If she wants to marry the controversial guy then so be it. What can we guys do but look out for something else.. Guys will be guys!

Anyway, finally the conclusion is that it is a lot of mess and nobody is sure of anybody’s background. Be it controversies surrounding Ayesha and Shoaib or the reasons of Sania to get married to him. One day after she reads this blogs she would then realize the opportunity missed by her by not coming to Pune ;). The main conclusion however is that me and my friends are not and have never been in such messy relationships. It is indeed a pain in ass if you are in a relationship before it is your time to be in one. Happy to be luckily single (as my gmail status also claims) and hope we never get into controversies. Stay away from telephonic and internet marriages and from your obsessive fans (if you have any). Don’t indulge in immoral things for a momentary pleasure because it will forever screw up your personal life. Enjoy summers “safely” and chill in swimming pools.

Just one observation; there is a rule in India for women that if the husband does not contact his wife for more than 2 years, the marriage is assumed to be called off. There is no need of an official divorce. Don’t know which country’s law these people would follow but I hope Shoaib’s lawyer knows this rule. Anyway, Take care guys.

Ciao.

The Class of Educated But Superstitious

    <m:smallfrac m:val="off"> <m:dispdef> <m:lmargin m:val="0"> <m:rmargin m:val="0"> <m:defjc m:val="centerGroup"> <m:wrapindent m:val="1440"> <m:intlim m:val="subSup"> <m:narylim m:val="undOvr"> </m:narylim></m:intlim> </m:wrapindent> </m:defjc></m:rmargin></m:lmargin></m:dispdef></m:smallfrac>

I am really amazed to see this new class coming up in our society. Not only it has large number of members but its population is growing faster than the combined speed of China’s GDP and India’s corruption rate! Not only the members of this class are highly educated but many are highly talented also. And it seems that this has gone into their brains so much that their logical switch goes off many times!

Now what is happening is the cycle of eradication of superstition, for which our ancestors gave their lives for, is coming back full circle to plague the society but with a twist in the tale. Earlier it used to be rampant among the poor and illiterate. Our ancestors worked very hard to remove superstitious beliefs from the minds of poor and illiterates but in doing so they forgot the rich class. Now poor were illiterates and they never got rid of superstitious beliefs. But rich were so educated that they were unhappy and they started believing in superstitious beliefs because they thought that the poors though being poor are happy because of their beliefs. The educated class, by their educated unhappy ancestors, were told that fairy tales about a poor man’s life; life full of struggle but life of a happy man who can sleep soundly. So those fairy tales were taken seriously by rich and this class of educated but superstitious came to the existence. That is the reason nowadays you see many film industry personalities change their names according to numerology. Now seriously, tell me how funny is that!! If they have scarcity of luck, why not keep working instead of wasting time and energy in adding an extra ‘K’ or ‘S’!! A simple example:- If numerology seriously works by adding those extra letters, why not add 2-3 ‘P’s in front of petrol!! Even petrol is in short supply, if we change ‘petrol’ to ‘pppetrol’, we will have a 300% hike in petrol production!! Wouldn’t most of us will take a sigh of relief??

Another incident that made me laugh for days.. I never used to believe in the black cat theory. I neither had color bias for humans nor for animals. Really speaking, I love animals. So once when I was walking with some friends and this nice cute but black cat crossed our way, all the friends stopped, let out a huge cry on poor cat and took a U turn! These friends of mine are post graduates from good colleges. They are working in MNCs and still they think that if a black cat crosses their path they shouldn’t go further as that would bring bad luck!! For a moment I thought these guys were only having fun and trying to take my case. But when they convinced me that they really believed that shitty thing, I couldn’t stop laughing!! I cannot help but wonder that who has been a bad luck in this case! Is it the humans who are over populating themselves or the animals who are reducing in numbers so that the greedy humans can get more space to fit in their asses? I still remember my friends in school writing their God’s name when writing exam papers – “it brings good luck stupid, don’t you know?” – they said. Yes, if that is so, write god’s name everywhere. Thanks to Gujarat Education board, they made it compulsory for students not to write God’s name. The reason was, the kids had stopped studying and started believing that their God’s name is going to save their butts.

Once I was chatting with a used to be friend of mine and we were discussing the Ramayana. All this time, I was under the impression that people took Ramayana and Mahabharata as epic novels and not real incidents. All of a sudden, this girl tells that it all happened for real. The magical and powerpuffed arrows did crash once upon a time, the Ravana did abduct Sita in his private jet, there was great great grand father of Super man known as Hanuman and animals did talk to Humans. Similarly, blind Kaurava King had 100 non blind sons from one self blinded queen (I sweat when I think of this), Pandava king died while making love for his fifth son, Bhima with 100 elephants like diet and power, Arjun with inbuilt sniper precision, Krishna (the famous hindu flirty God) with cloth factory inside him to provide 100thousand reels of saree to Draupadi, etc. Believe me or not, she said – ‘yes, it all happened. What the F do you know?’ Yeah, true, I don’t know any F but I know for sure that you need a psychiatrist. If this all happened then, why it cant happen today? That ensues a fight between good friends too. And it is no harm to believe like this but it is funny when you have intelligent discussions. But many times, the victim takes it personally and forever change their attitude which is harmful to all.

Superstitious beliefs are always sound funny to others who don’t practice them and harmful to the person who believes such things. Then whether it is about believing the black cat theory; writing God’s name on the answer paper; adding extra letters to one’s name; wearing a numbered t-shirt and different stones, etc; doing excessive pujas and havans; animal sacrifices; vaastu shastra in homes and even office cubicles these days; and many many more. I wanted to make this post a light hearted one so I didn’t point out the grosse outcomes of superstitious beliefs. But my friends, don’t become a part of this class. When it becomes addictive, it is no less than a drug and will have similar effects on your minds. So take care and live life practically. Just try and understand that MacD never considered Vaastu shastra before opening up joints and Bill Gates never got extra letters in his name to become the richest man. Thanks for reading this blog.

Love you all!!

Ciao

A Joke on Symbiosis ArtComm by TOI

The above was reported on 18th January 2010 (first prank by TOI in 2010, i guess) by TOI really shocked me. Also, it put me into two states of mind. One, i felt like laughing hysterically; second, i was very pissed off at TOI. The reason, as you know, is that TOI reported the Symbi ArtComm places 610 students ANNUALLY!!!! WTF???

First of all, Mr. Reporter from TOI, do not talk shit about my college. Secondly, do not tell tall stories about my college. And finally, get your facts right before reporting on any topic in future. Are you asking HOW is the above report incorrect? As a matter of fact, let me tell you that Symbi ArtComm has not even placed half of 610 students in 25 years of its existence (i was placement cell co ordinator last year). You see dear, my ex-college is very dedicated to education. Let me tell you certain facts about its dedication towards education.

The management is reluctant to waste any time in placement interviews as it eats up the 'valuable' time of students in college. They make sure that the time they save like this is used by the students to its full extent. In such 'saved time', the guys sit on 'katta' or 'open air classes' and learn important math and economics 'figures' from gals. The gals learn very important PR skills by flirting with hyper-despo guys. The guys learn Banking by taking loans from friends to pay PG rents and food bills and in return teach their 'money lenders' how to recover money and avoid bad debts. The gals learn Marketing by dressing themselves in the most adorable way and creating their brand value. The guys learn basics of Stock markets by investing their pocket money in bets on 'Maals (sexy gals)' and 'Petty Packs (untouched gals)' and daily going through the ups and downs of the values of these Maals and PPs. The gals learn the important lessons of Capitalizing Investments by choosing and fooling the rich guys (especially those who place bets on gals) with bikes and cars and save their money as they use their BF's bike/car as free mode of transport and do not even give a penny of return on the guys' investment.

Obviously, there are students who are not in the above category all the time. There are students who are seen once in six months only during practical submissions (which is practically only theory) and in exams. Then, there are students like the famous chatur, who close the classrooms and mug up accounting entries and economic theories and dont waste time in placements because there is no book which could help them to know what questions will be asked by the interviewers. But then, of all these characters, there are characters like me who consider college as a bridge to corporate world. And such students really care for the placements. But these are very few. So in Symbi Comm., there are around 720 students. 50% out of these are enrolled in professional courses like CA/CS/CWA. Out of the remaining 360, 100 have already planned to bribe the money making MBA colleges and colleges abroad. So out of the remaining 260, 200 students apply for placements and 100 appear for placements and take WT and 50 re appear for interviews and only at the most 10-15 get selected.

So on an average, say 15 students get placed in my ex-college annually. Around the year 2000, Companies in India realised that BCom students are cheaper than Engg students and also smarter than them. And more stylish. So they started recruiting BCom students on a small scale. So now can you calculate how many students in Symbi ArtComm must have been placed in 10 yrs? Even if you square 15 and add 15*10, it marginally crosses the 60% figure of your stupid report of placing 610 students annually.

So in short, dear reporter, how in my very educationally dedicated college, where placements is a waste of time, where the lectures mostly dont happen because it is a belief to have empty classes for students to study, where students have to study and understand all by themselves because only outdated notes are dictated in most classes as they believe in teaching students to learn from outdated books by themselves, how do you expect more than even 20 placements in a year??? You know why should one choose my ex college apart from above reasons? It is because there are students in this college from different parts of India and world. You learn so much from them and these will remain your no-loss-making-assets lifetime. Also, there are few professors who are actually like Aamir Khan of Taare Zameen Par. They teach you in a very unique way that you never forget what they teach you. Although very few nerds like me used to attend such lectures, we always kept asking for more. They were the only motivation for us to attend college. This is also true for those professors who dont take your lectures but they guide you in extra curricular activities. These activities help to shape your personality. Education is a very dynamic and situation based field. It upgrades itself at a very fast pace and it is difficult for professors and students to keep themselves upgraded by themselves. Hence, you need such friends and prof-friends to be an asset yourself.

This is one is dedicated to my friends in Symbi. Thanks for choosing this college and thanks to your parents for allowing you to come so far from your hometowns to this town. This is also dedicated to my best Symbi Prof-friends - Ali Akbar sir, Kale sir, Limaye sir, Kulkarni sir, Marcelle Mam, Sheena Mam, Tamhankar Mam and others if i have unintensionally missed any one.

At the end, i just want to say that Newspapers are todays biggest role models and they inspire a lot of minds. Please state the facts and right things and refrain from misguiding people. Also, guys keep your eyes open and dont instantly believe whatever is written in newspapers. Ask yourself a couple of questions and make educated decisions and not 'well-trained' decisions.

Ciao.

From Mohandas Gandhi to Mahatma Gandhi

This is blog is dedicated to our Nation’s Father, M.K.Gandhi. This is about his journey from an ordinary citizen to the Mahatma. It is not astonishing to know that most of the people have not read Mahatma Gandhi’s autobiography but have read John Grisham, J.K. Rowling and other authors. It is also not astonishing to know that most of the people think that ‘because’ M.K.Gandhi played pivotal role in the freedom struggle he became Mahatma. They are partly right; just 50% I would say. Only freedom struggle did not make M.K. Gandhi the Mahatma Gandhi. No. His journey towards Mahatma started way before he entered the mainstream of freedom struggle. I will just give you a brief so that you get some interest in reading his autobiography and learn from it. You will learn a lot from his book; trust me on that. Even if you have ‘International Economics’ or ‘Applied Mechanics’ test the next day, don’t forget to read some chapters of his book daily till you complete the book.

“His book in brief”-

His Childhood.

He had a normal childhood. He was a coward child and an average student. Still, he once managed to steal money and had meat because his friend told him that if one wants to beat the Britishers, it is imperative to eat meat. When Gandhi realized his mistake, he wrote a confession letter to his dad and sat beside him and cried. Never again, he took to meat.

Gandhi was married off very early at the age of 13 yrs. Kasturba was also of the same age. In the book, he does admit that it was the most horrifying thing to get married so early. Early marriage had made him addictive to carnal pleasure.

His Teenage life.

Gandhi has written that during this period, he made one the biggest mistake of his life. His father was sick and bed ridden and Gandhi had to nurse his father whole day. He goes on to the extent of confessing that this made him stay away from his wife for a long time and at night he used to wake his wife up to satisfy his carnal desires. There is more to this confession which is truly horrifying and you should read the book so as know how brave he was to write such a confession. Confessing is one the most important quality we get to learn from Mahatma Gandhi.

Another great quality was that he always kept his promises. Whether it was the promise to his mother of not touching wine, meat and girls in England or his promise to his wife when they got married. It so happened that when Gandhi was going to South Africa (without taking his wife) he learnt to keep his promise the hard way. He became a good companion of the sailor of the ship and so at one of the stops en route to SA, his friend took him to a pleasure house where he almost slept with a harlot but then ran away realizing that he will be breaking his promise. Many such incidents paved the way for him becoming a Mahatma.

The Pietermaritzburg Incident.

As most of us know, this is the historical place where Gandhi was kicked out of the train because he was travelling in the “white people’s” bogie. Lying there he realized that he will have to fight a long battle with the Britishers if he has to free his country. I would say that this incident really ‘woke up’ Gandhi to do something for his country. But he would be able to do so much, even he didn’t have an idea.

Freedom, Not His Only Goal.

After starting non violent movement in Africa, when Gandhi came back to India, he travelled the entire country to plan his strategy. He instantly knew that why 35 million Indians could be ruled by 35000 odd Britishers. This was because more than hating Britishers, Indians hated themselves. They believed in untouchability, female foeticide, child marriages, class and creed differences, no education for female child, etc. This all helped the Britishers to rule over them. Gandhi took the onus of objecting these traditions and brought in these small changes in his own lifestyle. He used to sit and dine with the Harijans; took care of the Lepers; had females to work in his ashrams and educated them; etc. These small changes in his own character yielded enormous results for him and for India. He went through what a common citizen was going through and suggested changes in the system in very simple terms. Nobody can forget his Dandi March and Boycotting of English Clothes.

Conclusion.

These are the qualities we can learn to implement in our lives; Humbleness, courage, humanity, rationality, honesty, integrity, self control, etc. And if you want subject wise then – Philosophy, psychology, economics, history, geography, sociology, management, etc.

The above is just the tip of the ice berg. To explore the entire ice berg, buy the book “My Experiments with Truth” and read it carefully. Every line is a lesson. The more you read it, the more you gain from it. So guys just go to the nearest book shop and buy his book and start reading on your way back to your home!!

Ciao.

The Fall of the Tiger – Media crosses limits

I am not referring to the endangered species here. Wait… may be I am!! Aren’t the celebrities the endangered species in this “Media’s-camera-in-your-bedroom & bathroom” world? Of course they are! If you are a celebrity then you are a victim of Media. And in November, Media proved to be a threat to The Tiger Woods too. They got him out of his well protected ‘Woods’ and have been un-striping him since then. They have unearthed 14 affairs of his and are rejoicing as if they have caught a ‘terrorist’! What a fucking sadistic Media!

Tiger Woods is an amazing sports person. He is an exceptionally talented sportsperson and very few people match his forte at such a young age. We should enjoy his game on golf course instead of enjoying his games with his ‘other ladies’. It is my opinion that it should not be our concern if he is a ‘tiger’ in bed as well. Media’s way of handling his issue has been very disappointing. Many things I read about him in the newspapers pissed me off. I will share a couple them with you.

News # 1 - Due to Tiger’s infidelity (he is known to have slept with 14 women), there is a threat to his wife of contracting STDs.

- WTF! What about the women who slept with him and with numerous other guys? Don’t they come under the “threat” category? I read about the Reality TV star who first claimed to be the other woman in Tiger’s life that she has slept with George Clooney also. By this piece of news I can conclude only two things:-
(a) Only a married perfidious person spreads STDs. Single Men & Women don’t spread STDs.
(b) George Clooney is not at fault because he is a bachelor. Tiger Woods’ only mistake is that he got married.

News # 2 - What will Tiger Woods do now? Leave his wife or his career?

- Again, WTF!! First they bring out such personal issues in public and thrash his arse black and blue for no reason. Then, raise a doubt on his Career and his Future?!?! This amazes me because he has done no harm to anybody!! He didn’t force any girl to sleep with him. Media loves open ended questions like this which can close a person’s future opportunities.

News # 3 - Elin to divorce Tiger Woods. (Not officially declared as on today)

- So this should piss off anybody. It is not officially declared and you consider the marriage is over?? Are you forcing her to divorce TW? Quote – “I think Elin will divorce TW. She has no options. She knows he will never improve”.

I believe there should be a very strict law to protect individuals against such hideous acts by Media. There should be an enormous fine imposed on such Media Companies. They should be taught their limits by the bane now. I have also observed that Media has no guts to take a stand when they should really take a stand. They should openly condemning acts of MNS in India or ask questions to China’s PM in a TV interview on their atrocities on Tibetians or getting a case study done on why was Barrack New Obama given the prestigious Nobel Peace Prize when he has done nothing compared to the great Dalai Lama and instead has been sending more troops to Afghanistan to find Osama Invisible Laden. Media People, get such answers if you have guts.

That’s it for now guys.

You take care and do your best in upcoming exams.

Ciao.

India - The Break-up & The Awakening Phase

I hate break-ups. I have never gone through any personally but still i know it's very bad. Like, i have never read Playboy but i know it is an adult magazine.
I hate fake people. I have never been a fake till now but i know fakes suck big time. Like, when few college girls do a Monica (the only difference is they crib on Typos) it sounds irritating.
I hate being helpless. I am helpless and cant do anything because i have too many immediate responsibilities and dont have the guts to chuck them and get into politics. I know it's the worst feeling. I am afraid that one day, i will become like many people in this world who have no patriotism left inside them. But before this happens, i hope to do something.

I hope all of you know the latest news, dont you? Congress government yeilding to KCR's fast-unto-death pressure and agreeing to finalise on creating Telangana state by breaking Andra Pradesh. If this happens, then i will loathe myself because i voted for Congress. As it is, i have been very upset the way politicians have been behaving from last couple of years. I hope someone like Indira Gandhi is born and tells these buggers, "Up Yours" and initiates an Emergency and puts these basterds in jail.

Few more things upset me. Pre-independence, Gandhiji used fasting as a tool to 'unite' states and people and create a Country. Now, people like KCR are using this pious tool to divide states! Gandhi understood the Gita as a war between Good and Evil in one's mind. People like VHP's party men invoke Gita's verses to kill other community people! The ancient history is in danger, our holy books are being misused, our ancestor's name is being used in bad light, our future is being put into danger. But we cannot do anything. Can we? An average citizen like us is burdened with responsibilities like studying and scoring good marks; finding a secure job; progressing in job to have a good salary package; marrying a nice person; having naughty kids and the cycle repeats. Who has time to get out of the "routine" and take part in politics? And few persons cannot do anything. There has to be a group. But people are showing no interest because the patriotism has been dead or has never been inside them!

It is not a "Yuva" movie that a group of educated people form a political party and become famous and efficient political party in few months. It takes time and efforts and will. I hope to see such a group coming up very soon now. I am not afraid of India being in troubled waters. In fact, i see it as an opportunity for us to strike the hammer when the iron is hot. (Those interested in forming a good and dedicated political party can start contacting each other and start forming a group. Call me also if one is taking interest. )

Would anybody come forward or we are just happy blogging (like me; but i would like to form our party, in case we create a big group)? Are we just happy posting comments on Facebook think that we care for our country? Any answers anybody?

You have lot of time to think. Let's think; B-schools or Corporate World or Parliament?

Take care.

Ciao

The curious case of BalRaj

He is unlike Brad Pitt of 'The Curious Case of Benjamin Button' because our protogonist BalRaj has normal physical characteristics. He is unlike the child actor of 'The 6th Sense' because BalRaj has no supernatural mental capabilities and doesn't see ghosts (but he haunts the growth of India). He is unlike Wolverine of 'The X-Men' because he is mortal and not helpful to society. So what makes our BalRaj (loved or disgusted, that i will let you decide) so unusual? His case is unusual because of his curious ways of making himself famous.

Our BalRaj is a well known politician of India. He has been a politician from 1970s. He is an experienced corrupt politician. He knows what issues to dig into so as to get votes. He knows that the highest number of people voting in his “state” are illiterates. So he brings out issues which are a bane to educated class and a hanging carrot for illiterates. I am not at all happy with this. I am neither happy with BalRaj nor with the educated people who dont vote. Such educated people are BalRaj's strength.

When BalRaj had started his political career, he had poked his nose in country's growth by bringing up self made controversial issues and creating trouble. At that time, our only great Lady PM had taught him a nice lesson and he went into hiding. After the Lady PM was gone, he came out in the open again. In the mid 2000s, he had fallen sick as his mind had an internal conflict. His Right Brain was asking him to be a sinister person again and his Left Brain was too rusted to listen to the other Brain's stupid plans. So his Right Brain left him because his Left Brain was right and logical. When BalRaj was alright again, he became like two persons in one. Bal and Raj. Bal was low on energy, Raj had too much of energy. Now Bal has lost interest in politics but likes maligning some great cricketers and people in his stupid newspaper. Raj likes politics and controversies. Recently, Raj started a new controversial issue. He divided our society on the basis of language spoken by people!!! He sent his drunkards to beat up people from other states because according to him they are taking away his "people's" jobs!?!? He wants to make his "people" drive taxis?; Do plumbing jobs?; Become a wage labourer? And if he wants all the jobs (white and blue collared) to go to his "people" then he should create jobs rather than stealing them from others. If Ambanis and Tatas and Murthys, etc. leave his "state" closing down their offices here because they are not his "state's" language speakers and the Indian Government take off their hands from his "state", then he should be ready to become a DOG of some foreign power. His "state" will be colonised within a day!

So BalRaj should come to his senses before another 'Bhagat Singh' is born and the educated people should start voting if they really care about themselves and their future and are really educated and not only Muggers. Let’s learn from this curious case of BalRaj’s. I know that when BalRaj's strength will become his opponent, he will fall down to never rise again.

This is it for now guys. Hope you vote too and also comment on my blogs.

Take care

Ciao

The Irony of Educational Reforms

So i come back to my blog after a long time. My job does not allow me enough time to blog. I have energy, but not time. However, getting back to the topic, i have had this in my mind for a long time. I have observed this irony and i wish to share it with you guys.

I agree that the recent educational reforms are few of the good steps taken by the government. Reducing the burden of the crucial SSC exams is a good thing. This move would be welcomed by students and by their parents also. Currently, Indian education is in a pretty bad state. It makes one a nerd, a book worm and narrows the vision. For many students, it is the biggest and the longest struggle in their life. So good educational reforms, which reduce the unwanted pressure, are good for the Indian Students.

THE IRONY

Now, reforms are being made at the SSC and HSC level. If we now broaden our vision (blame Indian Education for narrowing it in the first place) and go a bit forward, we reach at a stage which is 'almost graduating or just graduated' stage. The main problem arises here. This is the stage where most of us start thinking of going for an MBA or 2nd Level of CA/CS etc. or Jobs, etc.. Here, we have to appear for aptitude tests (even to get a job) and that is where we feel the pressure. Those who are graduating now or have already graduated, can easily take such pressures on them because Indian Education makes one capable enough to take pressures (for this credit goes to Indian Education). But those who will be graduating after 4-5 yrs, will have a hard time. The tests like CAT, XAT, CA/CS exams, corporate aptitude exams, bank exams, etc. are all becoming difficult year by year. The competition is increasing as more and more people are becoming aware of such exams. So many students graduate but very few jobs are available in the market. It has reached to level now that even for the most easiest jobs, companies hire MBAs as there are many MBA graduates (however recession gave just graduates an edge because they were cheaper) available in the market.

The recent Educational Reforms will help students initially but it is not the best move according to me. Instead of making SSC exams optional, curiiculum should be made more practical. College curriculum should even include summer internships. In order to ensure that students do understand and learn (not just mug up and throw it up on exam papers) what they are studying, teaching should be made the highest paying and the most prestigious job in India. This would ensure best minds in India to take up teaching job, and take it up seriously. This can be one of the win win situations. Initially, this would not be possible for all the schools, but this has to start from somewhere and for this Government's budget should have a large chunk of money assigned to OUR Education.

Education is one of the best investment option for any country. It's returns will take time but will surely be the best returns. These returns will have the potential to make the country a Super Economy!

Well that's it from me this time. All the best to all the guys preparing for MBA entrances.

Take care.

Ciao.

Freedom, In the Mind!

Finally, I get time to write this blog. It has been within me for so many years. Now I will share this with you.

We all celebrated our 62nd Independence Day on 15th August. On 15th August 1947 India got freedom from the British Rulers. We got the freedom to rule our country by ourselves. But was the freedom from British Rulers the ultimate aim of the long ‘freedom struggle’? Or was it even the main aim? Most of us will believe that it was the ultimate aim. I don’t believe that. I don’t at all agree to that. I always believed that it was pretty easy for Mahatma Gandhi and Sardar Patel to just give an order to millions of Indians to beat up the nearest Britisher and the entire British team of rulers would have run out of the country holding on to their khaki pants. Of course, Gandhi and Patel didn’t do that. They stuck to Non Violence and Satyagrah for one main or the ultimate reason. They believed, and so do I, that the freedom first needs to be experienced in the mind. They wanted people to understand what freedom is actually. They wanted to free people’s minds of those sinister traditions of touchable-untouchable, female child feticide, Sati (forcing widows to jump into the pyre of their dead husbands,), etc.

There were so many freedom fighters and they all contributed to the freedom in their own way. Although, till today we have never done any justice to their efforts but we live freely because they wanted us to. They were the people who had humanity instilled in their hearts. They thought for us. The shape of India was created by Sardar Patel and his co-workers. He didn’t sleep for months before 15th August 1947 and never slept after freedom till his soul gave up. He held talks, debates and religiously did his work he had entrusted himself with to make India. He convinced the Gujarat and the Bombay to join India. He made sure the East Bengal remains in India. He joined the south of India known as Hyderabad even when the Nawab of Hyderabad initially resisted and wanted Hyderabad to be a different country. He didn’t let Pakistan to take away the crown of India, Kashmir. When he was creating India, he once said and I quote,” I don’t know why I am doing this. I will not live to see this India. All I know is if everything goes right, then the people of India forever live peacefully in their own country. If something goes wrong, they will blame us and raise questions like ‘what authority we had to plan their future’. They will never understand that this was necessary to do given the time and situation.” This was the selfless dedication of our beloved Sardar. Yet, people like Jaswant Singh and former chief of RSS publicly announce Sardar to be the man behind The Partition.

When Gandhi was just a social worker, he toured Hindustan to see the spread of the malicious traditions which had captivated the minds of Hindustanis for so many centuries. He realized that English have taken advantage of this and have from then ruled Hindustani people. So Gandhi first made his mind free, then Kasturba’s and his sons’, then minds of people in his locality and finally of the entire nation’s with the help of many other likeminded people. These people gave Hindustani’s the real meaning of freedom without making them much ashamed of their superstitious beliefs and made a strong base for the freedom to sustain forever. They gave India a sustainable root which has the potential to grow our country into a super power. So all we have to do is make sure we don’t hear politicians who are traitors and do not allow them to affect the image of the creators of India.

I hope I have done enough justice to this topic. As always, I would like if you people comment on my blog.

Have a great day!

Ciao.

Great Artists, Good Artists

If I say ‘Bill Gates’, by default you link this name to the greatest personality who created the Microsoft Inc. If I say ‘Steven Spielberg’, you will link this name to the greatest director of Jurassic Park series, ET, Schindler’s List, Transformers, etc. Like them, there are many personalities who are very famous but there is a twist in their tale. If you ask ethical people, they would call them Good Artists, not Great Artists. The reason for this is very simple but hardly anyone knows the reason. Once Pablo Picasso said, “Good Artists do what Great Artists create.” I hope now you get the distinction between Good Artists and Great Artists.

The question you might have now is why I am calling the Great Bill Gates as Good Artist. It is because (I don’t know if you know this) the Microsoft Windows was not created by him; it was copied and modified by him. He fraudulently got a hand of similar software from the Apple Inc. then. This desktop software was first created by Steve Jobs of Apple Inc. Before it could be launched, Bill Gates got a hand of it and modified it and released it along with IBM. Similarly, when Steven Spielberg made ET, the only unhappy person in the world was Satyajit Ray. ET was based on the script written by Satyajit Ray. After this film was released, Satyajit Ray was so disgusted that he never made his own film. There are many stories where the persons who deserved the credit were deprived of it and there are various reasons for it. We credit Jawaharlal Nehru for his efficient stint as the first PM of the Free India; but the real work was done by Sardar Vallabhai Patel. There is hardly anything we know about the Iron Man of India. About him I shall elaborate in a different blog. Indian Film Industry has uncountable examples of this. Anu Malik and Mahesh Bhatt are famous Copy Cats. Even A. R. Rahman once took inspiration for a film from one of Enigma’s song. It doesn’t matter if the Good Artist is praised, but it is important to credit the Great Artist.

I have two points to make here. Firstly, if you know the true creator, always give your personal credit and affection to that creator no matter what the situation is like. Secondly, there will be times when you will be deprived of the credit you deserve. In such a case, you should never get bogged down. Schools, colleges and even work places will have people who look for easy way to become famous. Such experiences should only make one stronger. To attain justice, one should be justified within oneself. According to me Time will teach a lesson to such people. But there is no reason to douse the fire in the belly. That’s it from me in this blog. Always remember what Steve Jobs once said, “Stay hungry, stay foolish”.

I shall post again very soon. Please comment on blogs because your comments are very valuable to me.

Ciao

Guru Purnima

This is a very special blog for me. Whenever I think of Gurus who have changed my life for good, apart from my parents and my brother, I always remember two most important Gurus who changed my life completely. One was my sensei in the Martial Arts School and another one was my Math Professor in 10th Class.

Till my 7th Class, that’s when the 6.8 Richter scale earthquakes shook Ahmedabad violently, I lacked self confidence. Actually, I didn’t have that ‘thing’ at all. I joined a martial arts school then. We had a big holiday of 7 months. I continued it till my 10th Class. Those were the best years of my life because I met my second Guru in the 10th Tuition class. So I met my two gurus when I needed them the most.

I was inattentive, restless and never really understood anybody even though I pretended as if I was listening. Martial arts (under the sensei) improved my concentration. It actually ‘stabilized’ me. It improved my academics slowly. I was good in sports, it made me better. This all was possible only because of the sensei. He never gave up on his students, so even I never gave up on myself. I became physically and mentally very strong. Our training schedules were very vigourous. Exercising in the 44 C heat and running 9 kms on January morning at 5-6 C temperature is no child’s play! I laugh at my peers when they make faces when they have to walk even half a kilometer or climb three storey building. This makes them think I have ‘attitude’. Anyway, it did made me what I m today.

I was really afraid of math in my school days. That was purely because our school teachers sucked big time in the subject which they claimed they knew very well. I joined tuition class for the first time and for the only subject; Mathematics. Today, when I look back, I am so glad that I joined it because I met my second guru in that tuition class. I guess he recognized that my problem was that I was just afraid of math. So he taught me math in such a way as if it wasn’t a big deal. Slowly, under him I became quite confident in math. We started doing math while playing cricket, listening to Hindi songs and watching WWE. I scored second highest marks in math in the SSC exams.

Many times, boredom becomes the reason for self discovery. The 26th Jan 2001 Earthquake gave me 7 months and I was too restless to sit even for 7 minutes at a place. I joined martial arts school and it lead me to discover the real me. After HSC I was so bored that I started reading about stock market and finance related news. I found out that finance is one subject that can never bore me. In the second year of college I was so bored that I just made a movie for a function to pass my time and it lead me to discover that I can be good at movie making. It’s important to get bored to discover yourself. It’s very important to find right Gurus at the right time and to become a right Guru for the right person/s.

My promised blog will be out very soon. Till then…

Ciao

Double Thinking

It is wise to think thrice before acting on anything. But this topic has nothing to do with it. My topic is the underlying concept of ‘The Game Theory’. I never understood this concept of the theory when I read it (I confess I have not understood the game theory completely even till this date). I understood it when I practically used it. Now, I believe it’s the most important part of my decision making.

What exactly is double thinking? Is it same as thinking thrice before acting? The answer is an obvious ‘No’. Double thinking is when you think being yourself and simultaneously you think how your opponent (or any other person significant in the decision you take) would think. We double think in situations like running for class head, before the debates, competitions, when we play any kind of sport, when we are challenged by amateurs in college, when we have a date (or just like somebody), etc. We double think in so many things that it’s hard to find out situations in which we don’t do it. I don’t believe people when they say that they don’t judge others. When you judge another, you do not define them, you define yourself.

I have heard many people telling me the stories from Riches to Rags. They all suffered huge losses in the stock market. They bought shares when the market boomed. They sold those shares when the market crashed. They didn’t have the patience to hold them because their hard earned money was stuck in the shares. They obviously didn’t have any knowledge about the stock market. They lost money, which was earned by those had learnt to double think. As Warrant Buffet puts the golden rule, ‘a simple rule dictates my buying: Be fearful when others are greedy and be greedy when others are fearful.’

School life taught me this important lesson when we formed our own volleyball team. We invented certain ‘bluff shots’ which helped to us to remain on top. We had to learn it because our competitors were solid as rock and they had a coach also. We made the opponents think that we were going to smash the ball so that at least 2 players came forward to block it. But what we did was just place the ball in the no man’s land created by them only! We were the best team till we left school.

College life gave a ‘specialization’. After losing couple of competitions we knew how to form a team. Then we went on to win many competitions. We made a movie for the first time which involved extreme hard work and brain storming sessions among ourselves. We mastered double thinking basically that time because one of the amateur politicians on the college challenged us that our movie will be the biggest flop. It made us more confident because we never, unlike him, wanted to prove our professors wrong. As most of us know, how Double Thinking helped us to fail their dirty plans.

Double thinking is something that should be learnt and taught. If I respect politicians for anything then it’s just their ability to double think perfectly. Those who don’t double think, they surely face defeat. Whether it’s a game or a competition or an interview or politics, double thinking is inevitable.

Courage is going from failure to failure without losing enthusiasm. One should compete, one should challenge, one should stand up to wrong no matter against whom you have to rebel. This is one life where we should not let any wrong person to own our life or push us around. If you don’t understand what I am saying then stand up to something wrong and see what happens to you. You will find the worst people on this earth; but you will find a very few nice people on whom you will be able to trust your life. These gems will be the most valuable gems of your life. I hope this doesn’t sound like heavy duty stuff to you. I am not a preacher nor intend to be one in near future. Keep posting your comments as I always look forward to what you have to say. One should respect not only one’s own Time but also other’s Time. So why does this Time become so important in our life? We usually curse (and also see other people around us cursing) the government departments and their officials because they ‘waste’ a lot of Time. We ‘spend’ Time with our friends and loved ones. So it’s understood why Time is valued so much.

We also know that as we grow old, responsibilities pile up on our shoulders. We become time bound for most of the works. Leaders in any field are appreciated because they value Time and achieve their targets within the Time already set. We certainly hate people who waste our Time. That is so because we know that Time once gone will never come back. Time can neither be created nor be destroyed!

People who waste our Time become a problem for us. Some people make us wait outside their office for hours for just a 2 minutes work; some call us for no reason and talk shit; some befriend us just to show how good a friend they are and instead pretend to be someone else (some actor of their favourite sop). But like John Travolta (nor my favourite neither I am pretending here ;) ) says, ‘Every problem is an opportunity in itself’. We should understand that there are many people in this world who will strive to waste our time. But we have to remain focused on our goals. They teach us how to be rational and give us courage to say directly on the face of someone who waste our time that, ‘Hey, stop wasting my Time!!!’

Recently UPA government has won the elections again. This time, the Indians are serious and have given Congress the onus to transform, not only our country but its politics also. Politicians have been wasting our time since independence. But the new buzz line is flashing on TV screens, ‘Impatience is the new life’.

You must have noticed that I have been using capital T for Time everywhere. This is because I consider Time to be God. God is nothing but it’s Time. We pray to God for better future. This future is nothing but the coming Time. Time shows us the naked reality. This is the reason all of us afraid of God, afraid of Time. Amateur politicians waste our Time. We don’t have Time to let them waste our Time. So it’s Time we show them that the change has already come. Nobody is going to take things lying down.

We should respect ourselves and our God, i.e., Time. I really thank you people for taking out your Time to read this blog. As usual I would like comments from you all. Take care and utilize the Time you all have at your hands.

Ciao

Integrity

I am back after a long time. I was doing my homework so as to give justice to the Amateur Politics blog (which I had promised to write but as usual I m delaying it). Before writing the promised blog, I will write some blogs so as to build up a base. I m doing this because that blog is going to contain so much of factual information that it will become difficult to digest!!! I will first start with Integrity.
What is Integrity? Oxford Dictionary says, Integrity = Honesty + Strong Moral Principles.

Integrity is not an inherent quality. We do many mistakes and learn from them. When we start implementing our learning, we start developing ‘Integrity’. We keep developing it; it’s a never ending phenomenon. Integrity is the main trait of one’s personality. Also integrity is directly proportional to respect. Whether it’s self respect or respect in society, it doesn’t matter whether one is a film star or a principal or a politician or a business person or a student. If they lack integrity they won’t get respect in the society. No wonder though SRK has got more ‘Film Fare Awards’ than Aamir Khan, still Aamir Khan is more respected than SRK in Bollywood (it’s my opinion).

People with integrity stick to their ethics. Work is more important to them than the rewards attached to it. Needless to say they are honest, have on-your-face attitude, refrain from back stabbing and they take stands. Obviously many people are afraid of such people. The entire British Raj was afraid of Mahatma Gandhi and his friends. Initially they are suppressed by the ‘evils’ but they bounce back. When they bounce back, there is no stopping. They are always calm as an ocean and they have the potential to change the world. The main criteria of any company while hiring is ‘Integrity’. Integrity is the main trait of a Leader. But leaders go through a lot before they become leaders. For eg- People with no integrity are their best teachers!!!

I believe most of us experienced this most in college. It was when few tried to take all the credit and though they succeeded in their short term gains strategy by getting non deserving awards, accolades & rewards, they couldn’t even continue to come to college with their heads held high. This was because they lost respect. They lost respect because they lack integrity. They lack integrity because they are neither honest (to themselves also) nor do they have moral principles. That is why they blatantly tried to copy ideas, put their names instead of students who actually won competitions, pretended to the work they didn’t even know how it should be done and cried like babies when they were not put in some important 'projects'.

But does it end there??? I guess not. It was very clear that they were fakes. Even the irregular students knew that they were fakes!!! So how did they get what they had aimed at??? Does it mean that some more people strongly supported their intentions? This means that they got hidden benefits. What could be such ‘hidden benefits’ because of which they completely snubbed some of the best people with integrity (who worked hard & to whom rewards were secondary)? If that is right then these ‘some’ also lack integrity. These are some of the questions I came across in my research. Well, are there any answers to such questions? Think and try to figure them out. Till then I will work on my next blog and study for my exams also:). Anyway, always keep one thing in mind that the worst you go through the best is happening to your own personality. But worst is still to come…
Please comment as usual…
All the best…
Take care
Ciao

Offloading

I came across this concept in a very strange way. Before coming to college I was not so wise (wise in all sense, good and bad) as I m now. It so happened that when I was in class 12th in Symbi Junior College, I was attending a lecture on Insurance Policies. In that lecture, we were being told about Marine Insurance Policies. In Marine Insurance there is a concept commonly known as ‘Jettison’. According to Oxford dictionary it means to throw out sth to make a ship or plane lighter. It also says that these things are basically useless things. At that moment I stopped listening further (because then my ‘romantic’ side of my brain took over). I started relating these terms to myself. Terms like Jettisoning, Offloading, etc. I started wondering that these concepts are so ‘personal’! Haven’t I offloaded myself so many times??? Has this habit not helped me tremendously every time???
We all have in our life offloaded ourselves. But there is a difference between ‘jettison’ and ‘offloading’. In ‘jettison’ we throw away the useless things. Whereas in ‘offloading’, we share the most closest and intimate things of our life. Who says only sharing saddening things makes you feel light hearted!!!! We as human beings are always overwhelmed by emotions. We are so full that we need another bucket to share our sea of emotions. Oh no…its oceans of emotions, we need many buckets!!! We, very smartly, share our secrets with all our friends. These secrets are not dark secrets always. I can tell you what guys usually offload. The priority is as you all might have guessed very correctly is 'Crushes'. If a guy likes a girl, then he will first share it with his ‘wise bunch of guys’. Then as expected, he gets shitty advices (or in some cases, blank faces!). So he will move on to his ‘always there to help you’ girls as friends (in many cases this is the first option). Now, as we all know, LOHE KO LOHA KAAT TA HAI. Yes, one gets great advices from girls. I hail all the girls in this matter. Then this guy starts connecting the dots, makes a picture of the situation and in this manner he gets on the ‘right track’ (in most of the cases). Here I would like you to read between the lines. What really helps this guy by offloading is when one is emotionally overwhelmed, the logic side of that person’s mind gets distracted. One cannot take proper decisions because his heart beats are too loud to let him hear his instincts. Secondly, his throat is too full to allow words to escape and lastly, he is afraid of wrong actions because his mind is too conscious and he is too cautious. This is true not only in cases like the one above, but in all cases.
So basically offloading de-stresses one. We all like to be stress free. So offloading is the best option. Also, in most of the cases, it’s harmless. So guys and gals, go ahead, offload yourselves and lead a beautiful life ahead. What are friends for after all huh! One thing should be kept in mind is even if someone (whom you detest) comes to know about your feelings, just don’t bother about it. It doesn’t even matter much. You should believe in yourselves and don’t care about the people (no matter who they are) who are not related to you. So I wish you all the best and my next blog will be up very soon. It will be on amateur politics and amateur politicians. Till then…
Ciao

Cherishing Freedom

hey guys i knw i hav been away for a long time now. Have you ever read Geeta? It is important to read them not because most of us are Hindus and they our holy books, but because these are the books which give an insight of one’s own mind. Geeta and Mahabharata according to me are the dialogues and the conflicts respectively which take place in every person’s mind. Our ancestors had a lot of time on their hand. So they always meditated to think on all the issues. They knew themselves so well that they were never afraid to voice themselves [A few examples- Mahatma Gandhi (read his autobiography pls), Martin Luther King, Abraham Lincoln, etc.]. So if you read Mahabharata or Geeta, you know you are reading yourself.
Today I wanted to write about another topic. It was about Voluntary Offloading. But I thought it was necessary to write about Wisdom & Happiness before writing about Voluntary Offloading.
I came across a dialogue between Arjuna and Krishna from Mahabharata. Here it is, read it slowly and carefully.
Arjuna said: “O Keshava, what are the signs of a man of a steady wisdom, one who has attained God consciousness? How does the man of steady wisdom speak? How does he sit? How does he walk?”
The Blessed Lord said: “O Partha, when a man is satisfied in the Self by the Self alone and has completely cast out all desires from the mind, then he is said to be of steady wisdom.
He whose mind is not agitated in calamities and who has no longing for pleasure, free from attachment, fear and anger, he is said to be a saint of steady wisdom.
He who is free from all attachments and neither rejoices on receiving good nor is vexed on receiving evil, his wisdom is well established.
O son of Kunti, dangerous are the senses, they even carry away forcibly the mind of a discriminative man who is striving for perfection.
The man of steady wisdom, having subdued them all, becomes fixed in ME, the SUPREME, his wisdom is well established whose senses are under control.
Thinking of sense objects, man becomes attached thereto. From attachment arises longing, and from longing anger is born.
From anger arises delusion; from delusion loss of memory is caused. From loss of memory, the discriminative faculty is ruined and from the ruin of discrimination, he perishes.
But the self subjugated attains peace and moves among objects with the senses under control, free from any longing or aversion.
In peace there is an end to all misery and the peaceful mind soon becomes well established in wisdom.
There is no wisdom for the unsteady and there is no meditation for the unsteady and for the unmeditative there is no peace. How can there be any happiness for the peace less?
For the mind that yields to the uncontrolled and wandering senses, carries away his wisdom just as a boat on water is carried away by the wind…
As the ocean remains calm and unaltered though the waters flow into it, similarly a self controlled saint unmoved when desires enter into him; such a saint alone attains peace.”

I hope you understand the complete dialogue pretty well. The above dialogue has a very deep meaning, and unless you meditate on it, you will not understand it. A calm man is like a calm ocean. His peace is the most serene peace in the world and his wrath the most destructive thing on Earth.
Still waters run deep, huh. It is important to attain such Peace and Happiness because that is what life’s journey is all about, that is what I meant by Perfection. A man close to perfection is a real man ( not fakes like Ravishankar maharaj, and all self made saints). We all are young enough to reach such a stage and old enough to start this journey. You can have your own role models too. My next blog will be on Voluntary Offloading. It’s all about attaining peace and getting rid of wanted or unwanted thoughts. Hopefully it will be up in the first week of November. One is Love, which by nature is pious and omnipresent. The second word is Like, which unfortunately solves many doubts (ask the guys about this ;) ) but has created a lot of confusion. We use both these words day in and day out. We don’t realize that we often do not use them as they should be used. But who will decide how to use and when to use them?
I have been always saying this that we are mature enough to understand. This word ‘understand’ is a very strange word. Although we understand ‘Understand’s’ meaning, but we fail to understand its implication. When I say understand, I also implicitly mean the rationality of our mind. Though it is different in each person's case but the basic rationality serves the purpose at large. One thing is for sure, even though using your brains and comprehending skills and rationality, you are not able to judge what the heck I m saying. In short I have created confusion. That’s what these two terms, Love and Like, do. I mean that’s what we do with these terms unknowingly.
But I think there is more to what is being seen here. I think people are too clever to use these words. They try to sound unbiased sometimes and intelligent most of the times and finally they end up sounding like idiots all over again. Normally a guy says, ‘I love sports’, ‘I love music’, ‘I love my college’, ‘I love beer (or some soft drink)’, ‘I love her (to his guy friend)’, ‘I like you (to his girlfriend)’, etc. Sounds like a story from Oscar Wilde’s. A twist in the end. See how love becomes like when one is supposed to act.
According to me, Love develops. It takes time to develop. It’s never a Love at first sight. That’s bullshit, except in some cases. For e g- What do you see in a mother’s eyes when she holds her new born baby in her arms for the first time. That’s love at first sight. And if you go in the depth of this mother’s psychology, even here it has taken her sometime to develop this love. Of course she carried the child in her motherly womb for 9 months. So love in any form takes time to develop. But still it's a case of exception as it is love at first sight.
When you are attracted to something or someone, it’s a liking. When you like something or someone, it’s the first step towards love. It might develop into love or not, one cannot say. I will give an example which shall clear many doubts. If I say I like watching T.V., which means I like T.V. Why is that so? It’s because although I like watching T.V. I can give it up for my love, which might be anything. If watching T.V. is affecting my love for making music, I will of course give up watching T.V.
In short all I can think of saying with conviction is that Like can replace the word Love but it’s not true vice versa. If I say I like you, all I m saying is it might be love…m not sure, probably time will answer that, but if I say I love you…and it’s been just a couple of weeks/months since we know each other…trust your instincts…I am lying ;).
So friends beware of these words…and many such words. Think more than you can speak…and think well before you speak. Hope to receive some good comments from you like I always receive. Keep posting comments as it makes me feel really good and keeps me motivated. God Bless You.
Ciao

Perfectionism as a religion

We often think what life is actually. Some become philosophical, some relate it to God’s little game where we are the puppets, some become very serious and just keep thinking and some don’t think at all…all they say is ‘chuck it man, we have the whole life to think about it’ !?!?!?!
Whatever we think, we all are right in our own ways. But is it the rightness that matters? Do we actually feel the life in the same way as we think it is? It’s a well known fact that most people don’t speak out what they actually feel. Okay, some people think that life is a journey. Very good, you are coming to the point I m trying to make. But isn’t journey always towards something? You might say it’s towards God, The Ultimate Being. Good, you might call it God. But do you know why is he known as the Ultimate???
Umm…our ancestors who used to sit beneath the trees (who never had any work other than meditating or doing yogasanas) came up with this word and from then it’s being religiously used. You know, our ancestors were more knowledgeable than we are. Okay, so too much of beating around the bush. Let’s come to the topic. So life according to me is…
…is a journey towards Perfection. You might call it God, or Ultimate Complexity. Have you ever seen a just born kid taking bath and wearing its first cloth running around in the maternity ward of the hospital??? I know it would be the most hilarious scene, but keeping jokes apart, it is impossible. So now life has another aspect, i.e. there are certain things which are impossible. Do you agree with this? If yes then God means The Perfectionist. And yes, that’s the Ultimate Truth. What are we doing till now in life? We learnt to walk, to speak, to perform ablutions, to tie shoe laces, to ride a bicycle, to read and write, to respect parents, to fight, etc. We are still learning many things. Being a college student I can say that I am learning many things day in and day out. Learning to not-to-go-off-to-sleep in lectures, to flirt, to date perfectly, to do projects differently and trying to make them unique, to score good marks in mock cats, accepting some friends’ suggestions to talk more ( ??? ), etc.
We are always in this learning mode. We always aim to perfect in things we learn (except the things we learn half heartedly). Unknowingly for most of us, our life is a journey towards perfection. For that matter, the moment an organism takes birth it takes the path of the Perfection.
We are what we think. To win a Battle, it has to be won in the mind first. Either one wins the battle or loses it, in any case he learns. By battle I don’t mean only physical battle, I mean the survival. A journey towards perfection to survive. Complexity then becomes an integral part. And then some people say, I m a simple person!
So concluding my topic I would say that I m religious guy as my religion is perfectionism. It’s rather everyone’s religion. The sooner people realize this; the better it is for them. So for me, God is not that idol; not in the temple but it is in every person. It now depends how much each person believes in God, that is how much they believe in themselves. And referring back to my previous blog on 'Change', this is one of the ways I judge people. Hope u have changed by now to accept this.
Ciao

Recognizing the Change

‘Times have changed’. ‘Things have changed’. ‘You have changed’. 'I have changed'! I keep hearing this from many people. My dilemma is what change do people recognize or point out? Is it the integral change or just the same thing in a new packet? You know what I mean. So the question is- how should we recognize the difference between these two changes?
The British ruled over us for more than 400 years. They could rule over us because many Indians helped them. They helped them because they were poor and they were lured by the carrot. ‘Times have changed’ now. Politicians rule over us now. They can rule over us because many people who are poor help them. In the above example we can see the change. But the change is an outer change. The root cause is still the same. Many people change in this way. They are same in the inside as before. But many people fail to see it.
Many years ago women were considered as ‘unimportant creatures’. They were not given any sort of education except the kitchen skills and how-to-tolerate-domestic-abuse skills. But then, things changed. People have a very different perspective towards women. This is integral change. Homosexuality is being accepted worldwide, sex education is a necessary subject these days, teaching methodology in schools is changing, etc.
The reason we should know the difference is because as humans we should judge people. Judging people is not a crime (which is another conservative notion which is fast changing). When we meet a person, our brain prepares a character chart of that person. It’s spontaneous. At that time we do not wait to get a written material stating facts of that person. We also do not start rapid fire round of questions at him. All is based on our understanding. We understand people only when we know ourselves well. We also keep changing. Some people are completely oblivious to this fact. Such people have a hard time taking critical decisions.
We learn this by observation. It’s neither taught in schools nor at home. So everyone is at par in this ‘subject’. The percentages in academics do not help. It’s one’s own thinking ability that helps. That is why there are personal interviews. That is why we go to hear lectures of great people and politicians. That is why we date. Many people fear changes (some changes are fearsome). But isn’t change an inevitable thing. Some great person once said that the principal factor of perfection is change. To be perfect, one should keep changing. So let us think about this. In my next blog I will discuss about ‘perfectionism as a religion for me’. Hope you change by then!

Where are we heading to???

This is Mr. Mostof Depepl. I think he is an ideal citizen. He is very aware of the problems being faced in day to day life. He reads newspaper daily. He reads the news of road condition and the accidents on the roads daily. He knows that currently the traffic situation is bad in his city. He is very much concerned about it. He curses the people who are responsible for it. He prays to God that people start driving carefully and care for other people on roads. He then reads the news about the lands being grabbed by the builders and constructing buildings illegally. He thinks that it’s very bad that people are being cheated. He knows that politicians are really very bad. He often thinks that why in our country politicians are not selected from the best of the institutes and companies. Next he reads about some politician keen on getting votes so he keeps fiddling with the educational institutes for his own advantages. He thinks it is really gross and he is more eligible to be in his place. Next he reads how for trivial things some political parties call for a National No Work day. He gets really pissed off. He then goes to the sports page and reads how much money was invested in IPL. He thinks that because everybody is so damn interested in cricket that other sports are neglected. He then starts the net and surfs the net. He hates social networking sites because newspapers have lately been reporting some serious news of rape and murder because of easy availability of information in these websites. He checks mail and sees the time and curses himself for being glued to his laptop for a long time.
He has to reach college in time so takes a quick shower and as usual leaves the geyser on and the tap leaking. He prepares breakfast and eats half of it and packs half of it in a plastic bag. He quickly locks the door, takes his bike’s keys, the plastic bag, quick starts his bike (because he’s short of time), zooms off and darts the plastic bag in the Municipality dust bin but in vain as he misses it and it falls outside and spills all over the road, along with the others. He honks and brakes at every bend. He sees the time and then increases his speed to his average speed, 70km/h. He overtakes some vehicles from right and some from left and sometimes he zooms off between two vehicles. He is a very skilled rider. He thinks nobody can ride like him and can reach places in just 25 seconds max. He reaches the college in time and directly goes to the canteen to meet his friends and talk cricket. He feels that the lectures are boring and somebody should tell the professors to change their teaching methods. He has a friend who asks him about joining politics and he says it’s a swamp of shit and he never likes to take a dive in such swamps. He is happy that everybody around him like whatever he says.
He returns in the evening. He surfs the net again and goes to his profile page where he is expecting some messages from some gals he met in the social networking site. He has seen their pics. He insisted them to sauce them up. He then goes to the most lovable sites of guys. He thinks it’s okay because he is busy all day long so he needs to recharge himself. Next he gets a call from his friend and goes out for a dinner and a drink. He rides well even though he is drunk. He then calls a girl he has met some days back and talks naughty shit. She tells him her naughty gossips. He grins. He thinks it’s okay in his age.
Don’t you agree with me that he is an ideal citizen because almost all of us, girls and boys, men and women, are in some or the other way like him?

tHe ThiRD KInD

You wouldn’t want to believe me but I did confront the Third Kinds. I claim that I have seen UFOs many times when I was still in Ahmedabad (actually), but I never expected them to like me so much that they would follow me all the way to Pune. Hold on to your seats…they are roaming around in disguise (factually). I was equally dumbfounded, as you are right now, upon this rarest of the rare discovery. One stayed once upon a time in my society and its alter ego is in the college. One was once upon a time fondly known as Saab, the dog. Its alter ego as well as its namesake is partly human, unfortunately. I m going to tear their unreal, disguising clothes right here, right now.
As you know now, both of them are from the same planet or asteroid. Both of their stories are very similar. The only difference is that in such cases, dogs are better than humans. When I first saw Saab the dog, I was impressed by its uniqueness. It was not the usual type of dog one sees. It had many unique traits which made him very different. For e.g. - it could ‘bark fluently’. It was very fluent and very efficient in its own language. I think most of the time it was grammatically correct also! Another trait was that it found unique ways to make itself famous. That is something one usually never sees in a dog. He was not a dandy. He is ugly but he had developed certain traits which made him famous for some time. Initially we were fond of it. It used to lick a lot. In fact, I guess it has licked everybody’s feet in our society; whereas its namesake has done the same in our college. People used to fondly call him ‘Chaatu’.
Saab was a lech. He followed every female he saw. It acted so innocent in front of them that each female found it cute. There goes a hint for all those guys who want to woo their girl. But truly speaking, it doesn’t work for long relationships. Coming back to the story, Saab was a good dog, we all liked him. He was sometimes helpful. But can anybody camouflage goodness permanently? One asks a couple of questions that what happened to him? What took over him that brought about a colossal shift in his behavior?
The reasons are pretty simple. Saab had so many traits that he became a traitor. Saab was known so much for its poise that it became poisonous. Saab was so good that he became too good for anyone. Saab liked his friends so much that he blatantly launched stink missiles on each of them. He became a stinker. Saab just exploded because of the over dose of self proclaimed intellectualism. Finally Saab had to be kicked brutally. Serves him right. Now Saab roams around feigning dejection. He preys on petty animals. That is because almost everybody knows his real identity. And if someone doesn’t know it, well then I tell them know it.
While writing this blog I have realized that I have changed tracks so many times. I have changed from pronouns ‘it’ to ‘he’ and vice versa so many times. But it’s not a mistake. As I told, their stories are so similar that it doesn’t matter. I wanted to tell this because it’s important for all of us to be aware of these Third Kinds. Initially they are in camouflage. But soon like a chameleon they revert to their original state. Believe me, the sight will make you want to throw up.
It’s a very long blog. I realize that and so I m packing up. But I sincerely hope that we all avert ourselves from getting into such dangerous relationships. God bless us all.
Ciao

Plucked the Leaf....

I must confess that i committed an egregious mistake. I plucked the leaf by my callous attitude. It did hurt my friend, but i m its worst victim. It has indeed created a big gap within me. I have lost the right of saying...'Trust me'.

Though it was never intended but i had been careless, stupid enough to commit such a mistake without even thinking of its consequences. I plucked the leaf and on top of that, i walked over it carelessly. I didnt realise it until my friend scolded me.

My friend has brushed aside my mistake. But still i m tempted to ask myself a couple of questions, From when i have become so careless? Why m i not so good as friend is?

I still remember that day when i castigated my used to be friend for breaking my trust. He crossed the limits and has never apologised. Since that day he has been an outcast. This outcast is very similar to a dog named Sa-ab which was once in my society. I promise in the next blog i will tell u the story of "Sa-ab the Dog".

But for now i feel dejected. I feel very lonely with all my friends around me. My friend has forgiven me. But i cannot forgive myself. Perhaps the gap within me which sometimes heaves my stomach is my true punishment. It serves me right.

I dont ask you to pity me. But i would like to use my example and tell you that there is always a limit which should never be crossed. We are trusted by our friends and family so much that sometimes we turn a blind eye to such limits, and when such limits are severed, when the leaf is plucked, there is nothing in this world that will join it. Like my friend said, 'It's just gone'.

So always be careful. Remember what Dil Chahta Hai teaches you.

Some limits should never be crossed...

My first blog

So this is my first blog. first time after 2 decades i have got my own blog! as usual inspired by some great thinker (this time its aamir khan) evn i hav created my own blog. the illusions of future nvr leave me...but its good in a way. illusions of future hav always helped me to shape myself. the past is past for me...it's needless to recall it n grieve about the mistakes made n laugh about the silly things which occured.
